Dr. Ryan Reed was raised in northern Alberta and had a calling for the BC mountains at a young age. Having skied competitively for over ten years on both Alpine and Freestyle teams he spent a lot of time traveling and experiencing different mountain terrain. The demand placed on his body from competitive skiing and constantly trying to progress his skills at a young age came with a toll. After being injured a few too many times he needed to find a way to stay healthy and free from injury, so he started to see a chiropractor. With guidance from friends and family, a passion for sports, and the desire to pursue a career in healthcare, chiropractic was Dr. Ryan’s calling.
In 2015 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary which then led him to San Jose, California where he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West as salutatorian of his class and with Magna Cum Laude honours in 2019.
Dr. Ryan wants to get people moving, back into the sports they love, and to enhance their overall performance (in sport and life). He believes each client is unique and should have a specialized treatment plan developed for them to help reach their specific goals. He is determined to find the source of your pain and to get you back doing what you love as quickly and effectively as possible. At the end of the day, prevention is key in keeping you healthy and injury-free.
Dr. Ryan uses a variety of techniques with his clients and is certified in Active Release Technique ®, Graston Technique ®, RockTape Functional Movement Technique (Kinesio-taping), and Class IV Laser therapy. Dr. Ryan believes self-care goes a long way when treatments are regularly supplemented with rehab and recovery sessions.
When he’s not in the clinic you can find Dr. Ryan skiing and downhill mountain biking at SilverStar, golfing, wake surfing or exploring the great backcountry of B.C. by dirt bike and snowmobile.
