Traci Hoy grew up between Sherwood Park, Alberta and Vernon, British Columbia later attending the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy and graduating from the 3000 Hour 3 Year Program in 2012 as a Registered Massage Therapist. She learned from a young age that she was drawn towards helping other people which led her to study at OVCMT right after high school, it was there that she discovered her passion for science relating to the body and the details of how we live, play, breathe and heal.
Upon completing her studies and registering after board exams, she has been practicing in Vernon for over 8 years. Through the years Traci continued her education into the study of TMJ dysfunction completing a course that further treats the intra-oral muscles and ligaments of the jaw. She also found a particular interest in pre and postnatal maternity work and after her own caesarean surgery, went on to study further into the treatment of post caesarean surgery recovery. She now connects with many mothers during pregnancy and after birth into recovery, helping them return back into every day life and fitness routines. She uses a wide variety of techniques in her practice including deep tissue massage, myofascial release therapy, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations and Swedish massage.
At home Traci spends her days with her husband, daughter and son. You can find her outdoors playing with her kids in the backyard, on the hiking trails, in a hot pilates studio a few times a week, and playing soccer all year round! She enjoys staying active and also finding a good spot to have coffee and relax with her close family and friends. She looks forward to meeting any future clients and creating a plan to help reach their health, wellness and fitness goals.
